Player Appearance Request

Each year, the Yakima Reds players, coaches, mascot (Big Red) and staff make appearances at several community and corporate events. Although the Reds are eager to reach every fan, their availability due to training, travel and games is limited. If you are interested in having a member of the Reds participate in your event, please review the guidelines and submit a request below.
Guidelines
Use of the Yakima Reds FC name, logos and trademarks and/or any advertising that implies the support or sponsorship of an event or organization by the Yakima Reds or the United Soccer Leagues must be approved in writing by the Yakima Reds. Before promoting a Reds appearance, please contact the Reds office for approval. This policy pertains to all forms of advertising, including all print, television and radio promotion.

Requests must be received three (3) weeks prior to the event date. Requests received within three (3) weeks will not be considered. Due to the players’ and coaches’ individual schedules, specific personalities are not guaranteed at approved events.

Scheduling

Please refer to the Reds schedule prior to submitting your request, as appearances will not be scheduled on the following:

  • Game days
  • Travel days
  • During team training sessions

When considering appearance requests, we adhere to the criteria listed below:

  • Wide reaching impact (to maximize player time)
  • Clearly defined role for the personality (i.e. speak to the school, hand out awards, etc.)
  • No activities with risk of injury
  • Purpose separate from player’s attendance. We recommend that your event NOT center on a player’s attendance, but have them serve as a compliment to the overall event.

Appearance Fees

Please note that some events require appearance fees be paid to the players or coaches. A Reds representative will contact you if the nature of your event requires an appearance fee. All requests must include the organization’s budget for the appearance.

Next Steps

Once your request has been reviewed, you will be contacted by a representative from the Reds and learn the status of your request: declined, pending or accepted.

If your request has been accepted, it has been done so in accordance to the information provided in the Appearance Request Form. If changes are made after this time, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate the changes. As a general rule, the Reds do not make return visits to organizations within a calendar year. Also, an approved appearance does not insure annual participation by the Reds.

If for any reason we need to cancel an appearance, we will notify your organization as soon as we are aware of an unavoidable conflict.

Please fill out the form below completely. Incomplete requests will not be considered. All requests must be received at least three (3) weeks prior to the event. We will contact you once your request is thoroughly reviewed and, while a dialogue is usually opened well beforehand, appearances are confirmed one to two weeks prior to the event date. The Reds cannot accommodate every request we receive, however we do try and fulfill as many as possible. Player appearance fees may apply. Details will be given upon request.
